Club Horses

Robero

Piccolo (UK) - Ceilidh Band (UK)

We would like to introduce our latest horse, Robero. We have bought him in partnership with our new trainer Gay Kelleway. Currently rated 86 and being able to run in a lot of the big Saturday handicaps from that rating, he's a really exciting horse to have in our club. He routed a 25 runner field at Ascot last year and also reached a massive rating of 97.

We now feel that the change of scenery, the new routines will freshen him up and by doing that we expect him to now be well handicapped based on his form from last year. Which means it shouldn't be long before he's back in the winners enclosure for the 7th time in his career.

We have shares available for you but they are limited and are on a first come first served basis, so be quick if you want to own a share in a proper quality horse. Contact me for further information about buying shares on carl@thegoldenhorse.co.uk

Dandilion

Dandy Man (IRE) - Free Angel (USA)

Dandilion's pedigree is full of speed and that's exactly what you want from a 5f sprinter. She's currently operating at over a 30% win ratio for us in her 10 starts for the club, currently operating at a 70% strike rate for finishing in the top 3. Which is an absolutely amazing strike rate!

2017 was an amazing year for her, she won 3 races, was a close 2nd and 3rd on multiple occasions also. Dandilion is the perfect horse for a racing club and we are all enjoying her performances so much.

We are very much looking forward to her making her reappearance in 2018, as she's strengthened up and grew over the winter. If 2018 is as fun as 2017 with Dandilion, then I think we will all be very happy.

Shares available if you want to get involved, you can email me for more details carl@thegoldenhorse.co.uk

Sir Lancelott

Piccolo (UK) - Selkirk Rose (IRE)

Sir Lancelott was bought as we believed another win was just around the corner for him, he will give us all a lot of fun over the winter time giving us some much needed runners in the North for our loyal supporters who live up there.

He's won 4 races from 25 starts, which is a 16% strike rate and that is good for any horse at this level.

Sir Lancelott is currently in training with Adrian Nicholls, who was an ex-jockey who is now trying to make his name as a trainer and we are more than happy to support him at this early stage in his training career. We are delighted to of been able to give Adrian his first winner as a trainer with Sir Lancelott, something that we will always look back on with pride.

Still realtively unexposed on the turf as he's only ran on it 11 times, winning once and placing once. So we look forward to lots of fun with him on the turf this summer like we have had with him on the all weather this winter.

We only have a handful of shares left in Sir Lancelott, so if you would like a share in contact me carl@thegoldenhorse.co.uk

Straitouttacompton

Compton Place - Red Mischief

We've just bought a lovely 2yo colt that came highly recommended to us. He's a lovely mover, has a really nice pedigree and is built just the way you would want him to be as a racehorse. He's closely related to a couple of really nice horse out of his dam, a 96 rated horse called Waqaas, who's in training with Charles Hills and owned by Hamdan Al Maktoum. His other sibling is called Rockies Spirit, who has reached a rating of 85 and is in training and partly owned by Denis Quinn in Newmarket.

We decided to put our 2yo in training with Denis, as he knows the family and does really well in getting the best out of his horses from the limited stock he trains. So we felt he'd be the perfect fit for our horse and our club.

We have shares available in this 2yo un-raced colt, shares are £1,000 for 5% and £150 a month towards training costs. Contact me for further information about buying shares on carl@thegoldenhorse.co.uk

Gone In Sixty

Sixties Icon (GB) - Gib (IRE)

When we went to buy his dam as a broodmare to help start our breeding program and we set eyes on this little fella as a foal, we liked him a lot and everyone in the industry who has seen him since, they have all said the same thing, 'he's a very nice horse'.

As of the 1st of September we will start work with him, to begin with he will be broken and ridden away. We exect like his mum he will run over middle distances. He will be the first racehorse we've owned since a foal to run for us and as you can imagine that is very exciting for us.

We have shares available at £125 for 2.5% and £75 a month training fee's contact Carl for more info on carl@thegoldenhorse.co.uk
