Early this year we decided to enter the world of racehorse breeding. We wanted to try and breed our own horses, eventually getting them to the track and the dream is to win with a horse

The backend of the month and the beginning of November have been the busiest time for us, as we prepare our 3 broodmares for next years covering. It's been really exciting trying to work out which mare should go where and why they should go to the stallions we chose. DAUNT ROCK will head to the Aga Khan stud in Ireland in February where she will give birth to an OUTSTRIP foal and then she is to be covered by none other than English & Irish Derby winner HARZAND. We are really excitied about this covering and the members can't wait for our trip over to Ireland to the Aga Khan stud, as not only will we be able to see HARZAND but we will also be able to meet the one and only SEA THE STARS who in my opinion is one of the best middle distance horses to ever race. What a magical weekend that will be for all involved.

Our other mare GIB who had a foal this year by SIXTIES ICON and won't be foaling this year but will be heading to Mickley Stud to be covered by PROCONSUL who's a full brother to the famous FRANKEL. He's by GALILEO and out of the mare KIND, that is a bloodline we where really keen to get into and PROCONSUL really was well suited to our mare GIB. She will head to Mickley Stud early January and then will be covered early February if all goes to plan.

Then we come to our final mare, CARAMELITA who is currently in foal to HELLVELYN and will foal early February. She will also be making her way to Mickley Stud in early January along with GIB. We chose a different stallion for CARAMELITA who she fits really well with, she will foal and then be covered by HEERAAT who's recent yearlings sold really well at the sales, with him producing the top lot at the latest goffs sales in early Nov 2017.

This is a really exciting time for our yound racing club and we are really looking forward to everything that 2018 has in store for us, with 2 foals due and all 3 mares going back into foal ready for 2019.

As our racing club has grown so quickly this year with an increase of 33% in terms of new members, to a number we are really happy with. So we will be limiting our numbers to ensure that all of our members still get the personal, fun experience that they all enjoy from our club. So if you want to buy shares in our broodmares or you want to become a racing club member, then don't delay as we will be shutting our doors as soon as we reach the number we are happy with (which won't be long at all).

Thanks for reading my blog and I will be back next week with more stories from our racing club.

Im a newby but already feel at home. The info and enthusiasm stand out. Being a norf lundunner makes it difficult to make many course visits but I will do my best next year. Keep up your the good work!

The Golden Horse racing club is simply the best. The knowledge, hard work and support is the best you will find. Thanks for making a dream come true"

"The Golden Horse racing club is rapidly growing and going from strength to strength, the ambition shown from the team is second to none. We are already collecting prize money from our horses finishing in the frame and that money get divided between the owners 'that is us, the members'. The subscription is well worth the money and it gives ordinary people the chance of owning racehorses that most people only dream about. Long live The Golden Horse."
